Barren Realms Elite

Barren Realms Elite is the empire-building strategy game from the BBS era. This is EchoBBS's own browser version, in the Solar Realms style. Each turn is one year of your empire, and you get five turns a day.

How it works

Each turn is one in-game year. You begin with twenty years of protection from attack.
Colonize ten kinds of planet, from Food and Ore to Research and Tourism, and build seven kinds of unit.
Set tax and draft rates, trade at the food market, and use the Solar Bank for deposits, loans, and bonds.
End the turn to see your earnings report, and watch credits, food, pollution, population, and insurgency.

Scoring: Your score is net worth plus bonuses for population, peace, and victory.
